Your choices matter.

This Cookie Policy explains how AidersPlus Inc. ("AidersPlus," "we," "us") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website at aidersplus.ca or use our Platform. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login status or language) over a period of time, so you don't have to re-enter them each time you visit or navigate between pages.

Similar technologies include pixel tags (also called web beacons or clear GIFs), local storage, and session storage. This policy uses the term "cookies" to refer to all of these technologies collectively.

Cookies can be set by the website you are visiting ("first-party cookies") or by other organizations whose content appears on that page ("third-party cookies"). They can be "session cookies" that are deleted when you close your browser, or "persistent cookies" that remain on your device for a defined period or until manually deleted.

2. Cookies We Use

2.1 Strictly Necessary

These cookies are essential for the Platform to function and cannot be switched off. They are typically set in response to actions you take such as setting privacy preferences, logging in, or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block these cookies, but parts of the Platform will not function correctly if you do so.

  • _session — Rails session cookie. Identifies your login session. Session duration. First-party, strictly necessary.
  • _csrf_token — CSRF protection token. Prevents cross-site request forgery attacks. Session duration. First-party, strictly necessary.
